Each year the AAGE rewards outstanding examples of excellence in the graduate recruitment industry through its annual AAGE Graduate Recruitment Industry Awards (AGRIAs). The AGRIAs are a wonderful opportunity to showcase your organisation as an industry leader and we encourage ALL members to enter the Awards and gain solid recognition for their winning strategies. The 2010 AGRIAs are now open for entry! Entries will close on Friday 17th September. THESE FOUR AWARD CATEGORIES BELOW ARE OPEN FOR ENTRY: (1) Award for Best PRINT Marketing Strategy (2) Award for Best ONLINE Marketing Strategy (3) Will Spensley Memorial Award for INNOVATION in the Graduate Market (4) Award for Best Graduate Development Program There are also other categories that will be awarded including:
(5) Best Careers Service for Employers, (6) Best Supplier to the Graduate Recruitment Industry, (7) Best Contribution to the Graduate Recruitment Industry, (8) Graduate Recruiter of the Year and (9) Aspirational Employer of the Year.
The winners of each of these last five awards will be automatically determined by responses received from the AAGE's 2011 Employer Survey and 2011 Candidate Survey (i.e. potential nominees cannot 'submit' entries for these awards). Enter the 2010 AGRIAs (1) AWARD FOR BEST PRINT MARKETING STRATEGY Definition | 'Print Marketing Strategy' refers to an organisation's hard copy marketing materials used in the attraction of graduate candidates. This can include, but is not limited to, brochures, pamphlets, fliers and posters.
This award is designed to recognise organisations that have displayed excellence throughout their printed marketing materials. This award category will be divided into two sections: * Large Programs (for organisations employing 20 or more graduates per year); and * Small Programs (for organisations employing less than 20 graduates per year).
When used in this context, the term 'graduate' includes vacation students, interns, co-ops, cadets, graduates and any other University related recruitment programs. | Eligibility | The printed materials need to be current or to have been used by the submitting organisation during the past 12 months. Only one print marketing strategy submission per organisation will be accepted. Submissions are restricted to Full AAGE members. | Criteria/Considerations | 1) Visual impression (design, concept, appeal, first impression, layout, colour) 2) Content (message portrayed, relevant, too much, too little) 3) Does the material meet its objective? Does it snag the reader's/viewer's interest? Does it make the reader/viewer want to find out more about the organisation? (2) AWARD FOR BEST ONLINE MARKETING STRATEGY Definition | 'Online marketing strategy' refers to an organisation's internet-based and electronic marketing materials used in the attraction of graduate candidates. This can include, but is not limited to, graduate websites, videos, use of new technologies and use of third-party sites such as Facebook. This award is designed to recognise organisations that have displayed excellence throughout their online marketing materials. This award category will be divided into two sections: * Large Programs (for organisations employing 20 or more graduates per year); and * Small Programs (for organisations employing less than 20 graduates per year).
When used in this context, the term 'graduate' includes vacation students, interns, co-ops, cadets, graduates and any other University related recruitment programs. | Eligibility | The online materials need to be current or to have been used by the submitting organisation during the past 12 months. Only one online marketing strategy submission per organisation will be accepted. Submissions are restricted to Full AAGE members. | Criteria/Considerations | 1) Visual impression (design, concept, appeal, first impression, layout, colour) 2) Content (message portrayed, relevant, too much, too little, information provided about follow through/graduate program, etc) 3) Usability of materials (e.g. how easy is it to navigate, minimal error, sensible logical connection of pages, etc) 4) Originality and creative use of new technologies 5) Stickiness (does it keep students on the site for long periods of time, does it attract students to come back to the site at a later time) 6) Overall Excellence | Submissions for Entry | To be considered for the Best Online Marketing Strategy, please complete and submit the online entry form. | Selection of winner | Links to all submissions will be placed on the AAGE website. (3) WILL SPENSLEY MEMORIAL AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN THE GRADUATE MARKET Definition | The innovative measure must be new to the organisation and/or market. The innovative idea must have progressed to implementation stage. The innovative idea can be anything to do with the attraction of graduates, recruitment & selection of graduates through to the induction & development of graduates. When used in this context, the term 'graduate' includes vacation students, interns, co-ops, cadets, graduates and any other University related recruitment programs. | Eligibility | The innovative measure must be current or to have been used by the submitting organisation during the past 12 months. Only one innovation submission per organisation will be accepted. Submissions are restricted to Full AAGE members. | Criteria/Considerations | The following criteria/considerations will be reviewed in the decision process for the Innovation award: 1) Originality 2) Creativity 3) Implementation (strategy, research, timing, planning) 4) Success (results, how they were measured) 5) Level of impact (internally &/or industry) | Submissions for Entry | To be considered for the Innovation in the Graduate Market Award, please complete and submit the online entry form. You will be required to submit your written entry online, addressing each of the above criteria/considerations. (4) AWARD FOR BEST GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Definition | 'Graduate development program' refers to the formal opportunities provided by an organisation to graduate employees to support their technical, professional and personal development. This can include, but is not limited to, training courses, mentoring, work rotations, group projects and support for external qualifications. This award is designed to recognise organisations whose graduate programs provide outstanding development opportunities for participants. | Eligibility | The development program must be current or have been used by the submitting organisation during the past 12 months. Submissions are restricted to Full AAGE members. | Criteria/Considerations | The following criteria/considerations will be reviewed in the decision process for the Best Graduate Development Program award: 1) Content (relevance and quality of material delivered) 2) Creativity (originality, concept, uniqueness) 3) Development and implementation (strategy, research, timing, planning) 4) Success (learning outcomes, other results, how they were measured) 5) Level of impact on organisation and/or industry | Submissions for Entry | To be considered for the Graduate Development Program Award, please complete and submit the online entry form.
