AAGE: Insights and Engagement Project Manager (Remote)

Location: Flexible – Remote / Work from home role

Employment Type: 28 hours / 4 days a week, fixed term 12-month contract

We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-driven professional to lead our research and insights portfolio to support our members in building world-class graduate and early careers programs.

As Insights and Engagement Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-value research, tailored resources and program consulting that helps our members design, review and improve their early talent strategies. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, member support and thought leadership – and is central to how we drive value for our community.

What You’ll Do

Lead Research, Surveys and Insights

  • Design and deliver our annual research and survey strategy, aligned with member priorities and industry needs.
  • Manage relationships with external survey providers and oversee survey creation, promotion and data collection.
  • Take responsibility for the administrative management of all surveys within the portfolio.
  • Analyse results, identify key trends, and create reports and custom insights.
  • Present findings to members and help them apply data to improve their programs.

Develop Practical Member Resources

  • Create tools, templates, guides and content that support best practice in early career program design.
  • Produce timely resources based on research findings, industry trends and policy changes.
  • Maintain and grow our online resource library for easy member access and use.

Support and Engage Members

  • Engage with members across the lifecycle of their programs to provide strategic input and advise them as they build, review or evolve their graduate and early careers programs.
  • Help members interpret benchmarking data and apply best practice insights.
  • Build strong relationships across our community through proactive support.

Contribute to Events and Thought Leadership

  • Help shape our annual events calendar and contribute content to roundtables, webinars and our national conference.
  • Present insights at events and contribute to the development of engaging, relevant sessions.
  • Represent the organisation as a credible and knowledgeable voice in the early talent space.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement or member/client services — ideally within early careers or workforce development, higher education or a professional association.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative skills, with the ability to translate data into practical guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the creation of professional resources.
  • Confidence facilitating events, webinars or discussions with industry professionals.
  • Understanding of early careers or graduate programs and the challenges facing employers and candidates today.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology tools such as Excel for data analysis, Canva, Adobe or similar packages for resource design, CRM systems for member engagement and AI-powered platforms to enhance efficiency in data interpretation and content publishing.

About the Role:

This opportunity will have you defining, embedding and leading our early careers strategy ensuring the pipeline of our capability is future proof, developed and in alignment to our multi-disciplinary business.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead the successful end to end delivery of all Early Careers Programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Define the market engagement strategy that supports pathways into the John Holland business for diverse capability via career fairs, university engagement, societies and opportunities for partnerships.
  • Partner with Organisational Development, external providers, key John Holland stakeholders including the People team and projects to identify, design and develop learning initiatives.
  • Design and deliver presentations, welcome inductions, workshops and connection opportunities.
  • Deliver the full life cycle of early careers initiatives in line with budgeting restraints.
  • Continuously seek ways of improving processes and innovation to optimize early careers development opportunities, recruitment processes, market engagement and policy and guidelines.
  • Develop, analyse and socialise varying reports to enable decisions and return on investment across early careers programs.

About You:

  • Preferably a Bachelor in HR, business or administration
  • Proven experience in HR, OD and/or recruitment or in a similar role.
  • Preferably extensive experience in managing Graduate and Internship programs, including but not limited to Graduate, Undergraduate, Work experience/ Internship, Apprentice and Traineeship programs.
  • Experience in defining and delivering strategic objectives aligned to business outcomes that may drive change.
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building and influencing skills.

We are looking for (selection criteria):

  • Proven experience in managing career services, student engagement, or employability programs within a tertiary education or similar environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders, particularly academic.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver high-impact programs and services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A relevant qualification in career development, learning and/or organisational development, education, business, human resources, or a related field.
