An Opportunity for High School Careers Advisers and Employers to Meet and Share

The AAGE is delighted to invite AAGE employer members and high school career advisers to join us to engage and share information.

Target Audience

This free event is targeted at:

  • High School Careers Advisers; and
  • Employers that recruit high school students and university graduates (i.e. AAGE employer members)

Aim

The aim of this Symposium is to bring together employers and careers advisers to share knowledge and information on the career opportunities available to high school students and university graduates.

Content

The presentations and workshops at the Symposium will provide:

  • Information about the types of career pathways available to high school students and university graduates, including scholarships, work experience, vacation work and graduate programs.
  • Statistics and survey results on the current jobs market for university graduates.
  • Information on the typical selection and assessment processes used by employers, including discussion of “what employers look for”
  • Mechanisms for employers and careers advisers to communicate with each other.
  • An invaluable opportunity for networking between employers and high school careers advisers.
         
    Please note that AAGE members must be logged in to register for this event.

Catering

Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are all included. Please provide any dietary requirements on your registration form.

Cancellations

In order for us to cater appropriately, please let us know if you need to cancel your attendance. The AAGE requests a MINIMUM of 24 hours' notice to receive notice of your intention to cancel. All cancellation requests need to be received in writing via events@aage.com.au.
